Meet Bill Holland

A Canadian broadcaster, and my father. After graduating from the Lorne Greene School of Broadcasting in 1953, he found a job at CFRA in Ottawa, and acted at the Ottawa Little Theatre along with Rich Little.

In 1958 he took on a job as a news announcer at CKOC.


It was in Hamilton that he really established himself, getting plum assignments such as interviewing Prime Minister John Diefenbaker.


There was young lady at the station, working as a librarian and control room operator, who caught Bill's eye:
